Preston Sands is a beach located in the English county of Devon, on the South West coast of the country. It is known for its picturesque views, soft sand and crystal clear waters, making it a popular destination for families, couples and those seeking a peaceful break away from it all.

The beach is located on the stretch of the coastline known as Torbay and is just a few miles from the city of Torquay and the popular tourist town of Paignton. It is easily accessible by car, bus or train and is a popular spot for day-trippers and holidaymakers alike.

The beach itself is made up of golden sand and is approximately 500 meters long. It is backed by a promenade and, to the north, by a large grassy area which is ideal for picnics and sunbathing. The beach is popular with swimmers, especially during the summer months when the waters are at their calmest. There is also a lifeguard on duty during peak times.

At low tide, the beach reveals a number of rockpools, which are great for children to explore. There is also a wide range of traditional seaside activities available, such as boat and pedalo hire, as well as an ice cream kiosk and a cafe.

The views from the beach are spectacular and, on a clear day, visitors can see across to Brixham, Torquay and Paignton. In addition, there is a range of wildlife that can be spotted from the beach, including seals, dolphins and seabirds.

Preston Sands is a great place for a family day out or for those looking for a peaceful and relaxing break. There are plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained and the beach boasts stunning views, soft sand and crystal clear waters. The beach is easily accessible by car, bus or train and is a popular destination for holidaymakers and day-trippers alike.
